Grinder (Shutdown)

We are seeking experienced Grinders for an Oil & Gas shutdown project in Kuwait. Candidates will assist Fabricators and Fitters with grinding, surface preparation, cutting, and finishing activities. The ideal candidates should have hands-on experience using grinding tools and equipment and be familiar with industrial workshop and site safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Fabricators and Fitters with grinding and surface preparation activities.

• Perform grinding, deburring, and finishing of metal components, pipes, and welding joints.

• Support weld joint preparation and post-weld grinding as instructed.

• Assist with removing sharp edges, rust, excess material, and surface imperfections.

• Support cutting, fitting, and fabrication activities using appropriate tools and equipment.

• Prepare piping spools, metal components, and materials for fabrication and repair work.

• Inspect ground surfaces to ensure proper finishing and readiness for the next work stage.

• Handle and maintain grinding machines, discs, and related tools safely.

• Coordinate with Fabricators, Fitters, and Welders to complete shutdown activities on schedule.

• Follow hot-work safety requirements, PPE standards, and site HSE procedures.

• Relevant experience as a Grinder in the Oil & Gas or industrial maintenance industry is preferred.

• Hands-on experience with angle grinders and other industrial grinding tools.

• Knowledge of metal surface preparation, deburring, and finishing techniques.

• Ability to assist Fabricators and Fitters with piping and general fabrication activities.

• Familiarity with weld joint preparation and post-weld grinding is an advantage.

• Knowledge of grinding disc selection, tool handling, and workplace safety.

• Previous Oil & Gas shutdown project experience is preferred.

• Immediate availability to join the shutdown project is preferred.
