Fitter (Shutdown)

We are seeking experienced Fitters for an Oil & Gas shutdown project in Kuwait. Candidates should have hands-on experience assisting Fabricators with piping and mechanical fitting activities, spool preparation, and hydrotesting preparations. The ideal candidates should be familiar with industrial tools, pipe fittings, flange connections, and shutdown site safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Fabricators with piping fabrication, spool repair, and general fitting activities.

• Support the preparation of piping spools and components for hydrotesting.

• Assist with the installation and alignment of pipes, flanges, fittings, and associated components.

• Prepare pipework and connections for hydrotesting as per approved procedures.

• Assist with the installation of blinds, gaskets, and bolted connections under supervision.

• Handle, arrange, and prepare materials, tools, and equipment required for fitting and hydrotesting activities.

• Support the dismantling, reassembly, and adjustment of piping components during shutdown operations.

• Inspect fittings and connections to ensure proper alignment and readiness for testing.

• Coordinate with Fabricators, Mechanical Technicians, and site teams to complete assigned activities on schedule.

• Follow approved work procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and site HSE standards.

• Relevant experience as a Fitter in the Oil & Gas or industrial maintenance industry.

• Experience assisting Fabricators with piping and mechanical fitting activities.

• Knowledge of pipe fittings, flanges, gaskets, bolts, and related components.

• Familiarity with hydrotesting preparation and piping test procedures.

• Ability to use basic fitting tools and understand technical drawings.

• Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and PPE requirements.

• Previous Oil & Gas shutdown project experience is preferred.

• Immediate availability to join the shutdown project is preferred.
