Mechanical Helper (Shutdown)

We are seeking Mechanical Helpers for an Oil & Gas shutdown project in Kuwait. Candidates will provide hands-on assistance to Mechanical Technicians during maintenance and operational activities. The ideal candidates should be familiar with industrial tools, mechanical equipment, and site safety procedures. Previous experience in Oil & Gas shutdown projects is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Mechanical Technicians with maintenance and operational activities during plant shutdowns.

• Support pipework unbolting, flange breaking, and flanging-up activities.

• Assist with the opening and closing of vessel manways, handholes, and inspection covers.

• Support the removal, installation, and replacement of process valves and Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs).

• Assist with the assembly and dismantling of air and utility hose connections.

• Handle and arrange mechanical tools, equipment, materials, and spare parts.

• Support equipment dismantling, reassembly, cleaning, and general maintenance activities.

• Maintain good housekeeping at the worksite and ensure tools are stored properly.

• Follow instructions from supervisors and technicians and comply with site safety procedures.

• Assist with completing shutdown activities within the required timeframe.

Previous experience as a Mechanical Helper in the Oil & Gas or industrial maintenance industry is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of mechanical tools, equipment, and maintenance activities.

• Ability to assist with pipework, flange, valve, and pressure vessel maintenance tasks.

• Willingness to work in a shutdown environment under the supervision of Mechanical Technicians.

• Good understanding of workplace safety and permit-to-work requirements.

• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

• Previous shutdown project experience is preferred.

• Immediate availability to join the shutdown project is preferred.
