Instrument Technician (Shutdown)

We are seeking experienced Instrument Technicians for an Oil & Gas shutdown project in Kuwait. Candidates should have hands-on experience in instrument testing, calibration, loop checking, valve testing, cable glanding, cabling, and termination activities. Previous experience in shutdown projects will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of field instruments, including LIT, PIT, TIT, and FIT.

• Carry out loop checking and verify instrument signals and functionality.

• Perform valve calibration, testing, and functional checks.

• Execute cable glanding, cabling, and termination activities.

• Verify instrument installation, wiring, and connections as per project specifications.

• Identify and report instrument faults, calibration issues, and discrepancies.

• Follow approved procedures, technical drawings, and safety requirements.

• Coordinate with instrument, electrical, and maintenance teams to complete shutdown activities within the scheduled timeframe.

• Ensure compliance with site safety standards and shutdown work procedures.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Relevant experience as an Instrument Technician in the Oil & Gas industry.

• Hands-on experience in testing and calibration of LIT, PIT, TIT, and FIT instruments.

• Experience in loop checking, valve calibration, and functional testing.

• Practical knowledge of cable glanding, cabling, and termination.

• Previous experience in Oil & Gas shutdown projects is preferred.

• Ability to read and understand instrument drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

• Knowledge of site safety procedures and permit-to-work requirements.

• Immediate availability to join the shutdown project is preferred.
